The Coffee Triangle, known as the 'Eje Cafetero' is a region of Colombia that shows one of the best things that Colombia has in its territory which is coffee. Colombian coffee is among those considered as the best coffees in the world. The terrain of the area is full of beautiful valleys that make the journey something more pleasant.
The park
not only counts with a beautiful view but it also tells the history of a country and one of its most valuable resources. This zone has the
perfect climate to cultivate and to enjoy all the attractions that the park
has. Tourism in the area has been growing over recent years, as more people
discover the stunning scenery and the historic architecture more people want to
enjoy the journey and visit this magic place.
On December 25 I went to the coffee park with my
girlfriend, we left early because the journey was long and we had to stop
several times to buy some food for the road. After some hours of driving we got
there full of expectations about what we were going to do first. Before entering
you can smell Colombia, the pleasant flavor of coffee and the beautiful feeling
that you are at home. We were excited to enter so I bought our tickets to enjoy
the entire park, it was like ($56 mil pesos each one) then we walked in, and
the first thing that we saw was the beautiful view of the valley and to make it
better the full decoration of Christmas. ❄️
After a few minutes we decided to start the journey watching some videos of procedures and
the different machinery that they use to grind the coffee. It was very
interesting because it mixes history with dynamic representations of everything
related to the coffee, even the park counts with some areas where they just put
stuff related to make it practical and fun for everyone. Like at 3:00 pm we
decided to have lunch inside the park and we eat a delicious lasagna to charge
energy and to continue our journey. The park offers different options for
transportation some of them are representative of the ways that coffee was transported
in the past but, we decided to go in the cable car. When we were inside we saw
the valleys and an excellent view of the coffee farms, it was amazing.
When we got to the other part of the park, at first
we took the train to go to the different attractions because the park is very
big, so we toured the park in different ways and one of them was by train. It
was a good experience because when you are there you stop in many places and
you can choose where you want to start. We decided to start in a big roller
coaster. I really had a lot of fun there because I experienced other types of emotions , and the best thing was
that that is not the only attraction that the park has , it also has : bumper
cars, bumper boats, karts, an orchid exhibit, and horseback rides. I really
recommend to enjoy every minute there, and if u can get in to the attraction
again, DO IT!!
Our favorite attraction was the white water rafting rapids. It is a big boat that moves very fast and while the boat is moving we
were surround by water, so at the end we were very tired, wet and also we had to go home. So I recommend
that if you are going to try this attraction keep with you , dry clothes or put
them in a safe place , if not , maybe you will be sick , that is why we took our
things and wait for the train and the cable car to go back. It didn´t matter
how tired we were, we spent an excellent day surround by nature, history and
fun.
